Grapes are specially selected from small parcels of vines in South Eastern Australia. The vines are carefully cultivated to our specifications, with low yields producing intensely-flavoured grapes of outstanding quality. Red berry fruits and spice on the nose. The palate displays rich, ripe and juicy raspberry and plum, balanced by softly integrated oak. A smooth, warm finish.

The Fix Shiraz is medium to deep brick red with purple hues. The bouquet reflects aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry and
plum with hints of toasty vanilla oak. A medium to full bodied wine, plum, red cherry and cassis fruit coupled with
chocolate and hints of white pepper supported with cedar oak spice. Well balanced with soft fine tannins, ripe fruit and
a soft lingering finish.

- On release, the wine is deep red with a slightly purple hue. - - - The wine has a lifted fresh fruit aromas of blackberry and plum. Secondary characters of dark chocolate, dried herbs and spice add complexity to the bouquet. - - - The wine has luscious red berry and cassis characters throughout the palate while subtle spice and dark chocolate characters add complexity. The mid-palate is soft and round with long elegant tannins and a velvety, persistent finish.

The wine is medium bodied and quite juicy in texture. It has a delicacy and displays sweet, concentrated fruit flavours of juicy plums and blackberry, along with subtle spicy apricot. This is a well integrated and balanced wine with an enjoyable persistence to the finish.

The Grace & Favour is intensely more-ish with a good depth of colour and a warm, inviting nose of chocolate-coated plums with spicy and savoury undertones. Medium-bodied but generous on the palate full of warm, comforting flavours like a perfect stew on a cold winter’s night, this Grenache Shiraz has a seamless blend of blackberry and plum fruit flavours balanced by more savoury notes of leather and spice.

The fourteenth release of ‘The Fergus’ is named after our neighbour who was good enough to sell us his Grenache grapes in the vintage of 1993 during a desperate shortage of Shiraz and Cabernet. We quickly realized that which had been born from logistics had real potential as a full bodied, but soft style with immediate food compatibility. The wine has lifted red berry aromas and flavours, complexed by Grenache spiciness and given extra back palate astringency by the blending of other more tannic red varieties. It is a mouthfilling wine that may be kept for up to 10 years, but will go nicely with duck, turkey, lamb and gamey meats any time soon.

The wine has very lifted aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry. There is dark chocolate and subtle cigar-box characters underneath.

The wine has a round and opulent palate with a silky texture and soft tannins. Ripe berry fruit flavours, along with plum, chocolate and freshly roasted coffee are evident. The wine has a finely balanced palate with good structure and persistence of flavour.

Will reward careful cellaring in ideal conditions to 2013, possibly beyond.

- The wine has bold lifted varietal aromas of cassis, ripe black cherry and aniseed. French oak maturation is evident with subtle characters of cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon and cigar box adding to the wines allure.
- The wine has a long and generous palate with fleshy, concentrated, sweet varietal flavours. The palate delivers the elegance and interest, displaying classic Cabernet Sauvignon varietal structure; a mouth filling front palate and long, elegant tannins to finish. The wine has black cherry and cassis fruit characters throughout and French oak nuances of cedar and tobacco are well integrated with a savoury edge running throughout the palate. The finish is long and persistent.

This is a elegant full wine with rich texture. Fruit flavours of purple berries are complimented by subtle spice and faint cedar which bring pleasurable warmth to the palate. The finish is long and persistent.
